Clayton McClure, PTA is originally from Indiana and has been with the Balance Chicago family since 2018. He has been a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2017. Clayton is originally from a very small town about an hour south of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Chicago was a big change. Clayton loves any and all sports and especially all of his Indiana sports teams (The Hoosiers, Pacers, and Colts.) He underwent multiple bouts of physical therapy while he was playing sports in high school, this experience piqued his interest in physical therapy. Clayton enjoys participating in recreational basketball leagues, tennis, and watching sports. He is now dedicated to helping other athletes rehab back to playing the sports they enjoy.
In 2015, he graduated from Indiana University with his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, majoring in Exercise Science with minors in psychology and coaching. After his time at IU-Bloomington, he was accepted into the PTA program at Jefferson Community and Technical College in Louisville, Kentucky which is where he completed his Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2017. Upon graduation, he moved to Chicago to pursue his career in the big city. He specializes in vestibular rehabilitation. In addition, Clayton enjoys working with orthopedic conditions such as knee pain, ankle sprains, and back pain. He is also very passionate about exercise and fitness and enjoys educating people about how to improve and manage their pain symptoms on their own so they can get back to all the activities that they love doing.
Clayton says that his favorite part of working in this field is interacting with his patients and getting to meet new people and watch the progress they make along the way. He says that Balance Chicago is different from previous clinics that he has worked at because of how close the team is and how invested everyone is in the well-being of the patients, which is what sets Balance Chicago apart.
