Dr. Kylie is originally from Wisconsin and has been with the Balance Chicago family since 2019. Dr. Kylie was very athletic from a young age and because of this she wanted to be a physical therapist since the age of seven. She was a competitive gymnast and dancer and this fueled her love of the human body and muscles. In middle school, Dr. Kylie’s grandmother had a stroke that left her unable to walk. This event was the catalyst for her love of neurology and the brain. It showed her how important rehabilitation is in the recovery process, not just for the effect it has on the patient, but for the family as well.
Dr. Kylie attended undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin – Madison where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology – Exercise and Movement Science. She stayed at UW-Madison for her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. While there, Dr. Kylie taught yoga and Pilates for the university’s recreation department for 5 years. While she no longer teaches on a regular basis in Chicago, she remains very passionate about yoga and fitness. When she is not working, you can find her in the gym, on a bike ride, or walking her dog named Beast.
Dr. Kylie specializes in vestibular rehabilitation and balance training. She loves helping people who are experiencing dizziness get back to their lives and the things they love. She also enjoys managing a wide array of neurologic conditions including concussion, Muscular sclerosis, Parkinson’s, and stroke. Dr. Kylie enjoys educating her patients about their bodies and empowering them to be active participants in their rehabilitation. When asked what her favorite part about working in this field is, Dr. Kylie says that she enjoys helping those people who didn’t realize they could get better and seeing people go from 0 to 100 percent and this is her favorite part.
